Working Principle
The RMG operates based on the high-shear mixing and wet granulation process:
Dry Mixing: The dry powders are loaded into the mixing bowl, where the high-speed impeller quickly disperses and blends the ingredients uniformly.
Liquid Addition: A granulating liquid is sprayed into the powder mix to bind the particles. The liquid is typically added through a spray nozzle located within the bowl.
Granulation: The impeller continues to rotate, while the high-speed chopper helps break down any lumps and ensures even distribution of the granulation liquid, controlling the granule size and structure.
Final Granules: Once the desired granulation is achieved, the material is discharged for further processing, such as drying or tablet compression.
